The meaning of aion as the first game to introduce PvPvE system DateTime:8/18/2010 5:52:58 PM
AION is the first game to introduce a so-called PvPvE system, which means that they mostly PvP and PvE ?tskillda parts in other online games here are connected, and collaborate. Many of the PvE-events that occur will have a direct impact on the PvP scene, and vice versa. A unique scheme called 'Stigma' works in AION as a way for players to develop their characters, not only vertically but also horizontally, while they gain experience. Using this system will also be able to "steal" abilities from other classes, and thus to create unique combinations of skills.
One of the game's defining feature is all the character's ability to fly, and AION takes players' ability to fly to a new level, when it developed with this basic function. This means that the players, provided they met the requirements, it will be able to fly freely in the world, and that many missions and PvP conflict will be taking place entirely in the air. To that effect, Daneen McDermott pointed out that, "Both Elyos and Asmodians are the good guys. Even if they don't agree about it." There were other hangups beyond the culture gap, too - technical ones. The cutscene animations were drawn to the original Korean voicing, for one, and even names were an issue: "In Korean, if you want to call something the Impenetrable Iron God Shield of the Acadian Hero-Nymph, you may need as few as seven characters. That's roughly as wide as the word 'Roughly,' by the way," remembered Stewart.
