The Fastest Way to Level Up DateTime:8/18/2010 5:52:58 PM
Level up your crafting and gathering as you do quests and fight monsters. You need these skills to do some quests later in the game, so to level up as fast as possible, be sure to routinely keep these skills up to date and work on them while you are questing. Setting a time aside for gathering later is not very efficient. Monsters in this game are pretty tough, especially at the early levels. You cannot just attack a huge group of mobs without putting yourself at serious risk. There are a lot of quests which only unlock once you reach a certain level. For example, in Akarios Village, you will find that more and more quests become available as you level up, so be sure to check back every level or two so you do not miss out on anything.
From levels 1-10 you will be in the Poeta zone. This zone is not too big and is often very crowded. Note that it is instanced, so if your current instance is too crowded, be sure to change to a new instance to avoid the crowds. Picking a non-crowded instance is crucial to leveling up quickly, especially as Elyos. That is the number one secret to the Aion Elyos leveling guide: everyone wants to play Elyos, especially newbies, so the earlier leveling areas are very crowded. You can waste hours playing in a crowded zone; be sure to find a low-population instance, at least for your early leveling. As you enter Poetra, you will find yourself starting at the Akarios Plains. There are a few very basic quests that I do not need to go into detail about as they are straight forward. What I do need to let you know is that while you are working on the basic quests in the Akarios Plains, you need to work on your gathering skills.
