How to Target your Opponent in Aion DateTime:8/18/2010 5:52:58 PM
If you chose a target in Aion combat , this means that you have start your fight with your opponent . Whether it be a monster, humanoid, or another Daeva, selecting an enemy to attack can be done in a several ways. There have several ways to attack an enemy. and how to target is so important. One way to select an opponent is to use the key ( Tab ). This will initially select the closest target within your visual range. You may also select the target in much the same way and use a skill. If the skill is a melee skill your character will normally begin to auto-attack with it’s weapon between skill uses. Chanter is a mid-liner and versitile role in Aion. It can move forward to front-liners to assist in DPS, but needs to back off if the opponents switch from targeting the front-liner to you . It buffs party before combat and maintains them . You can also aid the back-liners (Clerics, Sorcerers, and Spirtmasters) from Assassins that sneak through or any other melee class that gets by. You can drop back and support with heals if the situation arises. You need to move around a lot from front-line to back-line. You can engage strays, but need to know enough to back out if your target is tougher than you think. You also need to support either with DPS or heals where the situation is most warrented although this isn't always an easy descision and recognizing where you need to support and with what method (DPS or healing) will be what makes someone better or worse at Chanter.
