I was very psyched when I heard about it (only about a month before it’s actual launch) and I actually found this site through your Aion videos on youtube. Not having played any other MMO than WoW and that only a lot during pre-TBC times, i was really excited to get in to a new game world and had great plans for it. As for pvp, range DPSers killing u in 2secs if u happen to lag in to their LOS in those amazingly boring Asmo vs Elyos encounters where people basically just stand there and hope to get some points for their kill (which for healers was impossible from what I understood if you just healed). Either that or getting ganked by someone much higher level flying about fighting the boredom isn’t something that’s very appealing to me.

I endured the grind though and at level 25 I thought: “Abyss, that’s when the real fun starts”. But after getting to 30 doing quite a few NTC runs and some world PvP (and shitloads of grinding in the Abyss) I was more than let down. After getting a blue drop only once in the instance I read on aionarmory and there it seemed like the next instance (Fire Temple) would be even worse. Awesome drops with retardedly low drop chance seemed to be the only thing on the menu. Even though the game is for sure a good polished MMO, the reward for the time you spend in it is way too small. From what I understand endgame even is just grinding instances and flying around getting ganked, so why bother? So yes, I agree and I won’t be coming back to Aion ever again unless some radical changes are made.
