NCsoft's Ayase has announced he will be leaving NCsoft. Lots of people in the know have seen this coming for a while, but it's always sad to see a good person go. The financial statements were also released recently detailing a plan to launch Aion for US & Europe in the fourth quarter of 2009. Aion is a very good game, but always remember that the community is what nurtures it and gives it life. We've had a nice run together and it's always bitter when good things come to an end. I can't say much more than that I'm genuinely moved by some of your comments. A number of the people in our office's cut were offered similar positions in the US, but unfortunately not everyone. I'm still looking into solutions and alternatives (perhaps there will be unsimilar positions that end up appropriate) and wanted to wait with writing here until I knew more about my own future and path. I'm off for new pastures, but perhaps we'll meet again. Maybe within an Aion context, or maybe somewhere completely different. My wish is however for it to be in a place as good as Valhalla, where Andhrimnir slaughters his pig Sahrimnir in feast for the dead warriors each night.
