Aion: Tower of Eternity broke records in Korea with its open beta test. NCSoft is hoping the game finds a vast market of success in broader territories when it launches in Europe, Japan and North America in late 2009. NCSoft has announced that they have big plans for Aion: Tower of Eternity when it goes live in North America. The company is planning on showcasing the game this year at the GDC, but with this news also comes the benefit of some brand new screenshots. “The response we’re seeing in Korea is incredibly exciting,” said David Reid, president of publishing for NCsoft West in Seattle.

The game is looking mighty fine. As you can see from the main image (or if you take a peek at the screenshots below) this is easily one of the best looking MMORPGs out there. This allows the party to advance through crowds easily. But careful attention needs to be taken in this approach as high amounts of damage also produce an abundance of enmity, and if you take the aggro away from the tanks you will struggle to stay alive. When a monster’s gaze turns its focus on a Sorcerer rather than the tank, the Sorcerer is likely to be defeated quickly.
