The mini-boss should be capable of killing any solo player near its level, regardless of class. The mini boss would drop better loot but require a group to kill them. They could not be killed by single players or botters and only with some effort by a group of players. The mini-bosses would have increasing diminishing returns on loot. Kill them once, get good chance at loot, kill the mini boss a second time and you get no chance at loot for a certain amount of time.
